Japanese

Historically a place of contemplation and meditation, Japanese gardens make a great place to relax in. However, these days you don't need to be a deep thinker to enjoy one. To create the look you need to focus on natural elements, like water, stone and wood. Then having made areas of each, plant them up with lush green foliage and a few vibrant flowers - in simple shapes like square beds.
