Now is the time to pick your daffodil varieties and plant early flowering bulbs for great colour and scent next year. Also remove any dead flower heads you spot to keep your beds looking beautiful. See what else you can get stuck into

October

This month, give your plants in pots a boost with a liquid feed and good watering. Also before you start bringing tender plants in for winter, give your greenhouse a clean to kill any diseases and bugs.
