Knowing what grows well in the garden is really important. But with 12 months a year, remembering what, when and where can be tricky. That’s why we’ve put together this seasonal calendar. So you can check what you could be doing this month, and what you should be planting later in the year.search

January - Things to do
As the New Year brings a fresh beginning, start as you mean to go on and keep on top of those jobs like weeding and pruning. You can also start sowing tomatoes, chillies and onions seeds indoors for planting out later. Find out what else you can do this month
-
Fruit and vegetables
It’s a great time to plant bare-root fruit bushes or canes like raspberries. Cover the ground with polythene to keep it warm and dry before digging and never plant into frozen ground.
