Flowerpot I love the photos of your garden, and I couldn't agree more with your idea/tip of vertical gardening.    We small garden gardeners have to do all we can in order to grow the plants we love.    I am beginning to think my garden has reached saturation point, and that I cannot fit another flower in, but then I spot something I like and I am away again.     I was recently given six dahlia plants, and what a struggle it was to get them into the garden!    I had to abandon one plant altogether - well, it was rather a garden thug so I shan't miss it.    Other plants had to be moved, but in the end all six were planted and are now flowering. I do love height in a garden, and I grow lots of plants that have tall spires of flowers.    I also have two tall obelisks, covered with clematis, and an arch.    I don't have room in my flower beds for trees, but big pots are the answer, and I have two acers, a lowquat tree, an apple tree with seven apples on it, an ornamental cherry and an olive tree, all giving interest at more than just ground level.   Then, of course, there is the runner bean structure, which gives height, colour and wonderful produce!
